Recovery Revival FAQ:

1. What is Recovery Revival?

Recovery Revival is a 12 step focused fellowship modeled after other 12 step fellowships, but that acknowledges the biblical sources of the steps and principals as did the founding members of the original 12 step fellowship, Alcoholics Anonymous.

2. Is Recovery Revival a church?

No Recovery Revival is a open fellowship and has no formal leaders or pastors. We are a fellowship of lay people seeking recovery and to follow Gods will through making the 12 Steps a way of life.

3. Would members of other twelve step fellowships and church members both benefit from Recovery Revival participation?

Yes, Recovery Revival is a bridge between those who attend other 12 step recovery fellowships but are seeking to establish or strengthen their relationship with God and for church members that seek a recovery fellowship that is biblically based but 12 step focused and similar to other 12 step recovery programs.

4. How do Recovery Revival meeting work?

Generally like other 12 step recovery meetings (see meeting resources…make this a link) as a one hour meeting at any location or as a virtual meeting. Early 12 step and biblical references are emphasized. The Arch Builders biblical recovery manual can be a good meeting topic resource with many simple examples of 12 step fellowship aspects and an appendix full of 12 step fellowship / biblical synergy. Meeting formats can be as varied as other 12 step fellowships including twelve step study meeting, Recovery Bible or Big Book study meetings, speaker meetings, literature meetings based upon readings from Arch Builders or any other literature relating to biblical 12 step recovery. It is hoped that Recovery Revival meetings would be as convent and easily accessible as AA, and social media publishing of meetings is encouraged so internet searches can locate virtual meeting physical meetings at any locations. Recovery Revival will strive to keep a universal meetings list on its website so please report new meetings so they can be published.

5. Who can start a Recovery Revival meeting?

Anyone. Members of traditional 12 step fellowships, members of churches, anyone else seeking a spiritual way of life focused on a biblical 12 step lifestyle. And Recovery Revival meetings can be established by members and brought into facilities that help recovering communities of people such as rescue missions, recovery centers, sober homes, youth programs, correctional facilities and churches.

If you think you are an atheist, an agnostic, a skeptic, or have any other form of intellectual pride which keeps you from accepting what is in this book, I feel sorry for you. If you still think you are strong enough to beat the game alone, that is your affair. But if you really and truly want to quit drinking liquor for good and all, and sincerely feel that you must have some help, we know that we have an answer for you. It never fails, if you go about it with one half the zeal you have been in the habit of showing when you were getting another drink.
Your Heavenly Father will never let you down!

Lack of power, that was our dilemma. We had to find a power by which we could live, and it had to be a Power greater than ourselves. Obviously. But where and how were we to find this Power?

Well, that’s exactly what this book is about.
